THE
HISTORY
Our Lady of Victories Church at 25 Isabella Street was originally constructed in 1891 as the home of the Our Lady of Victories parish in Boston’s Bay Village neighborhood, serving the local Catholic community for many decades.
The striking Gothic-inspired masonry façade and tall arched windows were defining features of the church, reflecting the architectural character and craftsmanship of the late 19th century. Over time, as parish life changed and attendance declined, the building was vacated and stood largely unused, a familiar historic landmark in one of Boston’s oldest residential districts.
